Gangs of Godavari takes us back to the 1990s in a vibrant town called Kovvuru. The movie follows the life of Lanka Rathnakar (Vishwak Sen), also called Rathna. He grows up in a tough area and becomes really ambitious to make something of himself. Rathna gets involved in dangerous situations and fights for power in a place where there are no rules. The movie also shows the women in Rathna’s life – the strong Rathnamala (Anjali) and the sweet Bujji (Neha Shetty). We see how Rathna’s choices affect him and the people around him.

Actors Shine Bright!

Vishwak Sen is fantastic as Rathna. He shows us how determined and tough his character is, and even changes the way he speaks to make it seem more real. Anjali is great too, playing Rathnamala with a lot of depth. Neha Shetty does well as Bujji, but the movie could have shown more about her character. The movie also benefits from the strong acting of Nassar, Goparaju Ramana, and Hyper Aadi.

First Half Looks Great!

The director, Krishna Chaitanya, does a good job of introducing the characters and the setting in the first half. We see the lives of the people in Kovvuru and the rivalry between different groups. The camerawork by Anith Madadi is also very nice, showing the beauty of the countryside and the intensity of the action scenes. The music by Yuvan Shankar Raja makes the movie even more interesting, even though some songs might not be your favorites. Check out the thrilling trailer for “Gangs of Fodavari”!.

Second Half Gets Messy

The movie starts off well, but the story gets rushed in the second half. The writing feels incomplete, and the movie jumps from scene to scene too quickly. This makes it hard to follow the story and understand what’s happening to the characters.

Final Verdict

Gangs of Godavari has a lot going for it, especially the performances by Vishwak Sen, Anjali, and the other actors. The first half of the movie is interesting and sets up the story well. But the second half is rushed and confusing. So, watch it for the great acting and visuals, but be prepared for a story that doesn’t quite hold together.
