A Biased View of Campus Politics
Jahangir National University (JNU) tries to show the world of student politics in India. However, the story focuses too much on one side of the issue and doesn’t tell the whole picture, making the film less interesting.

The Plot
The movie follows a new student named Sourabh Sharma (played by Siddharth Bodke). Sourabh is surprised by the political views of other students with more left-wing ideas. He tries to change their minds and even gets into arguments with them. The film also shows protests and fights on campus, with people accusing each other of not loving India.

Acting and Music
Atul Pandey does a good job acting as Krishna Kumar, the leader of the left-wing students. But Siddharth Bodke’s performance as Sourabh needs to be revised. The music isn’t a big part of the film, but there’s a lovely song by Piyush Mishra.

Direction and Screenplay
The director, Vinay Sharma, doesn’t show a balanced view of JNU. He picks and chooses events to make a certain point. The story itself is weak and doesn’t go deep enough. Also, unnecessary dance scenes and lousy language make the film less enjoyable.

The Final Say
Jahangir National University could have been a good movie about student politics. But the one-sided story and weak filmmaking make it a disappointment. Even though the film is long (2.5 hours!), it feels boring.

Would you recommend watching Jahangir National University despite its flaws? Why or why not?
