Opening Day Performance

Competition and Promotion
Despite aggressive promotion, the film faces tough competition from recent releases. Its first-day performance was better than Laapataa Ladies and Do Aur Do Pyaar, but it fell short of expectations, receiving average reviews from critics and moviegoers. Even the songs haven’t picked up.
Directed by Nipun Avinash Dharmadhikari and produced by Ramesh Taurani, Ishq Vishk Rebound aims to appeal to a new generation, especially the “Gen Z” as well as the millennials following Shahid Kapoor’s 2003 hit.
The story revolves around three best friends: Raghav (Rohit Saraf), Sanya (Pashmina Roshan), and Sahir (Jibraan Khan). Their lives take a dramatic turn when romantic feelings come into play. The movie showcases their relationship dynamics, including modern-day breakups and reconciliations. Raghav often tries to mend the differences between Sahir and Sanya, but Sahir eventually decides to focus on his career, leading to a significant shift in their relationship.
While there’s hope for better weekend performance, significant improvement seems uncertain. Ishq Vishk Rebound is a film that fails to deliver a compelling love story.
