Kangana Ranaut Reveals Ambitions to Showcase the Acting Prowess of Bollywood’s Leading Khans!
At the recent trailer launch of her upcoming film Emergency, Bollywood actress and filmmaker Kangana Ranaut made a surprising statement about her desire to direct a film starring the three most iconic Khans of Bollywood: Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan. Known for her bold statements and fearless attitude, Kangana shared her thoughts on the potential of these megastars, expressing her wish to bring out their hidden talents on screen.
Kangana’s Vision for the Khans
During the event, Kangana was candid about her thoughts on Shah Rukh, Salman, and Aamir Khan. “I would love to produce and direct a film with all three Khans. I would also love to show their talented side, wherein they can act and look good. And they can also do something very significant to society. I would like to make a film like that. Because I think they are all very talented,” she said.
Kangana, who has often taken jibes at the Khans in the past, appeared to take a different tone, acknowledging their contribution to the film industry. “What they are doing is… of course, they are adding a lot of revenue to the film industry, and we should be eternally grateful to them. Also, they are engaging with many people who need that kind of engagement,” she added.
Kangana’s Favorite Khan: Irrfan Khan
While discussing the Khans of Bollywood, Kangana revealed her admiration for the late Irrfan Khan, whom she described as one of her favourite actors. She regretted not having had the opportunity to direct him, stating, “One actor that I always regret not being able to direct is Irfan Khan saab (sir); he is one of my favourite Khans, and I would always miss him.” Irrfan Khan, known for his exceptional acting skills, passed away in 2020 after a battle with cancer.
Kangana on Being Boycotted by the Industry
At the trailer launch, Kangana also opened up about the challenges she has faced in the industry. She mentioned that she has been “boycotted by the industry,” making it difficult for others to stand or work with her. She added that it is not easy for people to “praise her,” reflecting on her struggles in her career.
About Kangana’s Upcoming Film Emergency
Kangana Ranaut’s next directorial venture, Emergency, is set to hit theatres worldwide on September 6, 2024. The film, in which she plays the role of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, also stars Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair, and the late Satish Kaushik in pivotal roles.
