Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is proving to be a box office sensation, successfully passing the crucial “Monday test.” Released over the weekend, the horror-comedy film crossed the ₹100-crore mark, demonstrating its popularity even amid competition from other major releases like Singham Again.
According to reports from Sacnilk, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 earned ₹17.5 crore on its fourth day, reflecting a drop of less than 50% from its Sunday collection of ₹33.5 crore. The film had an impressive opening day, grossing ₹35.5 crore, with a slight increase on Saturday to ₹37 crore. The overall occupancy for Hindi showings on Monday stood at 37.45%, indicating sustained interest from audiences.
The film’s performance is especially noteworthy as its Monday earnings matched those of Singham Again, which had previously been leading in the box office race. Kartik Aaryan, who plays the lead character Rooh Baba, expressed his joy over the film’s reception by visiting the iconic Gaiety Galaxy theatre in Mumbai, where he celebrated the “Housefull” boards with his fans.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is the third instalment of the popular franchise, originally started by Priyadarshan in 2007. This latest film reunites audiences with beloved characters, featuring Vidya Balan reprising her role as Manjulika after 17 years. Directed by Anees Bazmee, BB3 continues to captivate fans with its unique blend of horror and comedy, setting high expectations for the upcoming weeks at the box office.
With its impressive start and ongoing positive word-of-mouth, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is set to remain a box-office contender for the foreseeable future.
