Disney’s D23 Expo Reveals Exciting New Films: ‘Moana 2,’ ‘Incredibles 3,’ ‘Mufasa: The Lion King,’ and More
Disney dazzled fans with a spectacular showcase of upcoming films, including Moana 2, Incredibles 3, and Mufasa: The Lion King. The three-hour event in Anaheim, California, featured star-studded appearances, musical performances, and exclusive sneak peeks of Disney’s future projects.
Dwayne Johnson and Auli’i Cravahlo started the event by introducing Moana 2, which will be released on November 27, 2025. Then, Director James Cameron took the stage to unveil the title of the third Avatar film, Avatar: Fire and Ash, which is slated for December 19, 2025. Fans also got a first look at Incredibles 3, with director Brad Bird returning to helm the project.
The event also highlighted upcoming live-action and animated Disney films, including a teaser for Snow White, starring Rachel Zeigler and Gal Gadot, and Mufasa: The Lion King, directed by Oscar-winner Barry Jenkins. Marvel Studios also made waves with updates on Captain America: Brave New World, Fantastic Four, and Daredevil Born Again.
