The trailer seems to have a funny yet nostalgic vibe that keeps one waiting to watch the entire film.
Surprise Reveal
The trailer reveals a steaming comeback for Mallika Sherawat in Bollywood. This actress’s casting has been kept under wraps until now, and her reveal in the movie as the hot, sultry family member who has everyone falling for her brings back flashbacks of her character in Welcome.
Perfect Casting
Not only have Vicky and Vidya been cast perfectly with Rajkumar Rao and Tripti Dimri’s undeniable chemistry on screen, but the casting of other characters like Vijay Raaza as the cop Mukesh Tiwari, Archana Singh, Rakesh Bedi and many more, all with absolute spot-on comic timing does do a lot in bringing together the entire film. After the trailer you lounge to see and hear more of the hilarious things that are hopefully yet to come from all the cast members.
Visuals and Creativity
The film’s team launched a teaser announcing the launch on Wednesday. It took us back to 1997 with them as they played two reporters on an old television set. They told us that their films will be launched on 11 October in cinemas, and with or without family, it’s definitely a must-watch.
Another Hollywood Remake
There is some speculation stating that the movie is actually based off the idea from the Hollywood comedy “Sex tape” starring Jason Segal and Cameron Diaz. The time-line, the characters, the various plots do differ between the two films but the central idea of a wedding couple having lost their “sex tape” is inevitably the same. The movie at first did seem to bring something new and interesting to the table but is that really the case or is it another one of the hundred bollywood films based on a pre existing Hollywood movie.
Overall, Rajkumar Rao’s and Tripti Dimri’s hilarious new comedy promises a rollercoaster of laughs and chaos as a small-town couple’s intimate secret spirals out of control!
